Raven-Symoné is mourning the death of her father and former manager, Christopher B. Pearman.

On Tuesday (October 1), Symoné took to social media to announce the death of her father. The former That's So Raven star shared a childhood photo of her and Pearman.

"My life has been long and abundant. And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face… 🕊️#christopherbpearman," Symoné captioned the picture.

Pearman and his wife, Lydia Gaulden, welcomed Symoné on December 10, 1985. Just four years later, the actress started her television career, landing a role on The Cosby Show. Pearman acted as Symoné's manager as she rose to fame during her childhood. The father figure also directed several episodes of That's So Raven.

Symoné went on to manage herself as an adult.

"She got to a point, you know, she said, 'Daddy, I can run my own company. I can run my own thing' a few years ago,” Pearlman told NPR in 2010. “And I'm like, 'You know, you have the tools.'"

Pearman's death comes after Symoné's younger brother, Blaize, died from colon cancer at 31 last December. The nature of Pearman's death remains unclear.
