Volkswagen announced this week that 2019 will be the final year of production for the iconic Beetle. After 7 decades, this is it. The Beetle was first hit the U.S. in 1949. Over the last few years, sales of the Beetle have declined. Therefore, Volkswagen is putting emphasis on SUV's and their still-to-come electric cars. Wow, one of the first cars that I remember my mom driving was a Beetle! They average nearly 29 miles per gallon! Did you ever own a Beetle?
