You still have a few days until Valentine's Day to find a date, but, instead of logging onto the latest dating app, why not just check in with what's going on in someone else's fridge?
While they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, Samsung is testing that theory with a new free app that works with the Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator. Instead of selfies, people share photos of the contents of their fridge with other users on the Refrigerdating app. People can then swipe right or left based on what they see if and they think they can get something "cooking." That means if a vegetarian spots someone with a fridge filled with meat, they'll probably swipe left on that profile.
"We hope people can meet under more honest or transparent circumstances with the help of the contents of the fridge, because that can tell you a lot about the personality," said Elin Axelsson, PR manager at Samsung Electronics Nordic based in Sweden.
Because after all, isn't the key to finding love really all about finding the person most compatible? After all, what's a better indicator of relationship success than when you both like jams instead of jellies and deli mustard instead of plain ol' yellow?
